Spamming in "spam-free" sections has become a concern lately and that's why we have decided to take action.
We've introduced two new ways to reduce spamming in "spam-free" sections:
From now on, if you post two or more messages in a row, your posts will be automatically merged into one post. This however doesn't work in International Chatterboxes. But it works everywhere else ("spam-free" sections). Of course if someone posts between your first post and other posts, your posts won't be merged.
When you delete your own post(s), your post count also reduces.
These rules will reduce spamming in inappropriate sections. We've noticed some people like to post great number of useless messages in Welcome sections and other "spam-free" sections, and then delete them.
We felt that the previous rules were too unclear and inconsistent, and we wanted to make new, clear and consistent rules for everyone. From this point on, every disciplinary action will be handled via infractions.
Infractions are like "points", you will get different amount of those points from different actions, and when you have too many points you will be automatically sent to Penalty Box to cool off or even banned. You can see the limits in the rules page.
From now on all the users can exclude any number of forums from the forums list (as well as from "New posts"/"get daily" searches). I'm sure there are users who don't want to browse every section, but yet they see posts from that section in their "New posts" searches etc. This will solve that problem.
You can change your settings from User CP -> Edit Options. Scroll down to "Miscellaneous Options" and you will find "Forums To Exclude From View" at the very bottom.
After almost seven years of being the owner of GameZone24.net domain, Duke has decided to step down and look for new challenges. He will still remain here on GameZone24, but he is no longer the owner. "After 7 years, it is time for me to step down", Duke says. "I don't have so much time these days as I have other projects too".
The election for new owner wasn't that hard, as there were only a couple of formidable candidates. Out of those candidates, Chris was the best choice. "Chris has already proven he has a lot of leadership and management skills", says the previous owner Duke.
Chris working the phones. "The first days have been pretty hectic", he says.
Chris was naturally very happy and anxious to start at his new job. "I'm very excited about this opportunity" says Chris and continues "After being the captain of Campers for over a year, I decided it was time for me to take bigger challenges. This was a natural step for me."
After being the captain of Campers for over a year, I decided it was time for me to take bigger challenges.
Despite his new job, Chris will still remain as the Campers captain. "I'd never leave that position, it is an honor to serve as the captain of this legendary clan".
Chris has already started at his new position. "The first few days have been pretty hectic", he says. "But this is just what I needed!"
"My goal is to maintain GameZone24.net as the leading Serious Sam comminity", he continues.
GameZone24.net and its members wish Duke Nukem good luck in his new challenges!
